Assistant Professor Jack Yoest at The Catholic University of America comments on the Diversity Visa Lottery,

“In the early 1900’s immigrants were thoroughly vetted.  About 2 percent were marked on their coat lapels “LPC” which meant “Liable to become a Public Charge.”  Unproductive undesirables were turned back at Ellis Island.
My grandfather crossed the Atlantic to become an American and make a life.  Some immigrants now come with no intention to become part of America and to take life.  Donald Trump campaigned on common sense immigration reform and was elected president.
The Diversity Visa Lottery program enacted by liberals like Senator Schumer has now become an entry program for murderers.  This program must end and the borders must be secured with merit-based immigration policy.”
