Historic Churches Turn Towards Jerusalem Pentecostal/Charismatic Churches of North America Join the DPPJ

Clarence, NY, Sept. 18, 2015 |Christian News Service| —The Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem welcomes Dr. Jeff Farmer, President of Pentecostal/Charismatic Church of North America (PCCNA) as a partnering leader in the annual global prayer movement for Jerusalem, it was announced today.

PCCNA represents over 480,000 churches and nearly 90 million followers of Christ worldwide. Dr. Farmer has officially endorsed the international prayer initiative for Jerusalem, and has committedJeff Farmer to mobilizing membership churches to join millions of Christians in prayer on October 4th.

Rev. Farmer stated: “Praying for the peace of Jerusalem should be among our highest priorities in this life of knowing, loving and serving Christ.  Oh Father, inflame our hearts with fervent, unceasing prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. Amen!”

Dr. Robert Stearns, co-founder of the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem, remarked, “We are deeply honored to have Dr. Jeff Farmer join us in praying for Jerusalem on October 4th.  As the first President of PCCNA, Farmer has served as chairman for the past five years.  President Farmer said, “This action is a strategic stepping stone to PCCNA’s future and comes in the wake of five years of sustained membership growth.”  PCCNA remains committed to bringing down walls that have separated different races and provides a framework for fellowship, dialogue, and cooperation between the various Pentecostal and Charismatic denominations, churches, and ministries in North America.

Dr. Farmer joins 1300 other Christian Endorsers who represent all different cultures, and denominations -like Paul Cedar, Ron Luce, Kay Arthur, Jane Hansen, T. D. Jakes, & Ravi Zacharias.  Their united call is for all believers to fulfill The Lord’s mandate in Psalm 122:6, to pray for God’s peace, blessing, and love to Jews, Arabs and Christians alike in God’s Holy City – Jerusalem.

Co-founded by Dr. Robert Stearns and Dr. Jack Hayford, the annual Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem- the first Sunday of every October – is one of the largest Israel-focused prayer events in history, with churches participating last year from over 175 nations, including those “underground ”in seven Muslim nations.
