Bio

Terry Beatley is an author, pro-life activist, speaker, and the Founder and President of Hosea Initiative. Before entering full-time advocacy, Terry spent 14 years in investment management and served as Director of Virginia’s Parental Rights.

Her life took a transformative turn on December 1, 2009, during an exclusive interview with Dr. Bernard Nathanson, MD—the former co-founder of NARAL Pro-Choice America who helped build the modern abortion movement before undergoing a profound conversion. Dr. Nathanson personally commissioned Terry to share his story and educate the public about the stealth propaganda strategies used to mislead the nation.

In 2011, Terry founded Hosea Initiative to bring healing truth to a broken culture and fulfill her pledge to Dr. Nathanson. In 2016, she published her flagship book, What If We’ve Been Wrong? Keeping My Promise to America’s Abortion King. Through keynotes, media appearances, and grassroots outreach, Terry educates audiences on how to stand courageously for life and restore legal protection for the pre-born.

​In a rare interview in 2009, Terry accepted the pro-life mantle of Dr. Bernard Nathanson, cofounder of NARAL. She promised to arm Americans with the truth of how he deceived  the nation with the lie that abortion is women’s healthcare. Terry is Founder and President of Hosea Initiative, a 501(c)(3) educational organization dedicated to teaching the principles of American liberty through the telling of Dr. Nathanson’s legacy.  She authored the book, What If We’ve Been Wrong? Keeping my promise to America’s ‘Abortion King’ .
