Expert Topics:

Christian genocide and Islamist jihad in Nigeria’s Middle Belt, including why “farmer–herder clashes” is a false narrative and why he calls it a deliberate plan to wipe out Christians.

Evidence of government and military complicity, from security forces ignoring warnings to alleged collusion and the use of public funds to manage optics instead of protecting victims.

Firsthand accounts of massacres, displacement, and IDP camps, drawing on his own experience as a survivor with siblings in camps and dozens of relatives killed.

The global stakes: how Nigeria’s instability fuels terror networks, migration pressures, and a major religious-freedom crisis that Western governments and media are still downplaying.

Practical calls to action for U.S. policymakers, churches, and NGOs: naming the genocide, pressuring Abuja, and supporting security and relief efforts that actually reach victims on the ground.

Bio

Franc Utoo is a Nigerian attorney, humanitarian, and human rights advocate who serves as a leading voice on the ongoing genocide of Christians in Nigeria. He works closely with filmmaker and missionary Judd Saul through TruthNigeria.com and Equipping the Persecuted, helping document atrocities, pursue justice, and deliver aid to devastated communities across Nigeria’s Middle Belt.

A native of Yelewata in Benue State, one of the communities hardest hit by Fulani jihadist violence, Franc is the son of the late Village Head of Yelewata, giving him both personal experience of the attacks and deep insight into their impact on local families and traditional leadership structures. He has lost dozens of relatives to massacres in his home area and has used those painful experiences to inform his advocacy before international audiences, including testimony in the United States spotlighting government failures to protect Christian communities.

Professionally, Franc is a legal practitioner and policy researcher whose work spans litigation, public administration, and nonprofit leadership. As a representative of Equipping the Persecuted in Nigeria, he engages with local officials, challenges government obstruction, and defends the rights of victims—most recently confronting local authorities over attempts to block the burial of Christians killed in Fulani attacks. Through TruthNigeria.com, he supports investigative journalism that exposes security failures and state complicity while amplifying the voices of survivors who would otherwise remain unheard.

A practicing Catholic and Knight of Columbus, Franc grounds his public work in faith-based principles of human dignity, solidarity, and justice. He is a sought-after public speaker on Christian persecution and the spread of jihadist violence in Nigeria, appearing in media interviews, live streams, and conferences alongside Judd Saul to brief churches, policymakers, and advocacy organizations around the world. In recognition of his tireless defense of vulnerable communities, the Mzough U Tiv Worldwide, the umbrella body of Nigeria’s Tiv people, has honored him with an award of excellence “in recognition of his defense of the Tiv nation.”
