Film Chronicles the Origins and Impact of Award-Winning “The Vision TV Show”
ATLANTA — Aug. 27, 2026 — “God Has the Vision,” a new documentary tracing the origins of award-winning Christian television program “The Vision TV Show,” will debut September 26 at historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, part of the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park.
The idea grew from Alveda King’s experience in the media spotlight and her commitment to ministry. Those influences shaped a different approach to television—one designed to make God’s vision plain in a media landscape filled with competing worldviews.
At its heart was a simple premise: The world has a view, but God has the vision. “The Vision TV Show” brings that premise to life through conversations about faith and purpose, creating space for prophetic insight. Hosted by kingdom-minded women, the program is designed to reach people both inside and beyond the walls of the church.
Carrying the message “One vision. Many lives. Eternal impact,” the documentary takes viewers behind the scenes of “The Vision TV Show,” offering a closer look at people, experiences and defining moments that shaped the program. Watch the official trailer here.
“There is a dream and a vision in every generation, decade, platform and genre,” says King. “It’s our time to ‘make it plain.’ Please join us.”
The Atlanta debut advances the mission to share a message of faith and hope. A new distribution partnership with Vision Pictures and Movie Sense will bring “God Has the Vision” to viewers around the world.
