From Combat to Courage

Heroes to Heroes – Do‑Good, Uplift Story

Jackie Jones

Looking for a meaningful, positive segment? Heroes to Heroes Foundation brings U.S. combat veterans to Israel for a powerful spiritual journey of faith and emotional healing — helping those battling moral injury, PTSD, and suicidal thoughts find new purpose, hope and leadership skill development.

Suggested guest:
Judy Elias, Founder of Heroes to Heroes Foundation
She can share vivid, uplifting stories from the latest veterans’ trip — how faith and brotherhood are saving lives when all else has failed.

Suggested segment:
“From Combat to Courage: Finding Healing in Israel.”

It’s a visually rich story — American vets in Israel reconnecting through faith, forgiveness, and friendship. Perfect as a short, surprising, or “good news” closer to balance the day’s hard headlines.

Outcomes & success indicators

  • High‑risk veterans who felt “beyond help”
Many participants arrive after other programs, counseling, and medications have failed, often isolated and on a path to self‑destruction.

  • 12‑month transformation, not a quick fix
Veterans commit to a year‑long journey: spiritual healing, peer support, a 10‑day trip to Israel, plus guided reintegration and ongoing alumni connection.

  • Lifetime support and mentoring
Alumni gain 24/7 online chat, monthly virtual meetups, speaking opportunities, and access to all Heroes to Heroes events, with many becoming mentors to new vets.

  • “Life‑changing” spiritual and emotional impact
Heroes to Heroes describes the journeys as “life‑changing,” a “war for their souls” where veterans move from despair to belonging, purpose, and peace.

What veterans tell Judy:

  • “I tried everything else. I was done. On that trip, standing at the Wall, I felt hope for the first time in years.”

  • “I went to Israel ready to give up. I came home with brothers, faith, and a reason to get out of bed.”

  • “For years I believed God could never forgive me. In Israel, with other vets, I finally began to forgive myself.”

Judy is a dynamic, quotable guest with on-the-ground Israel experience, available immediately for live hits, panels, or segments. Headshot, bio, and recent clips available upon request.

Founding and building up Heroes to Heroes required all the skills I had and more. Having the opportunity to redefine my life as a life of service at the age of 50 and continue to learn and develop has been a gift.”
